Experiences of violence can cause different kinds of physical and psychological ailments. Victims may suffer from handicaps or chronic pain, nightmares and sleeping disturbances, feelings of guilt and shame, sadness or hopelessness and fear or anger.
We are helping victims of human rights violations to reestablish their health and well-being. We aim to help them lead normal lives and to participate actively in society.
We help men, women and children of all ages who have experienced
- physical or psychological torture
- detention under degrading conditions
- forced displacement, massacres, ethnic cleansing or chemical attacks
- war or military conflict
- rape and other forms of sexual abuse
- kidnapping and terrorist attacks
- domestic violence (including physical, psychological and verbal abuse)
- forced marriage or
- genital mutilation.
We also serve men, women and children who suffer from secondary trauma due to traumatization of family members.
We help victims regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity or spiritual beliefs.
Our services are carried out by our multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers. Counseling and therapy for women are conducted only by female staff. All information you give us will be treated as strictly confidential.
If you require direct medical or psychological help you can contact us by phone or by email. Our services are free of charge, and you can always request help without prior appointment.
